Intercom is an Irish company that manufacture software to improve businesses' interactions with their customers, and they are to create at least 100 new jobs over the next year.RTÉ News report that the jobs are a result of the company securing $50m in new funding from venture capital firms and tech industry leaders.
The company was founded five years ago by Eoghan McCabe, Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee and David Barrett.
At present, the company has offices in both Dublin and tech hub San Francisco, with 10,00 paying customers in 90 countries.
Contributors to Intercom's funding include Ilya Fushman of Index Ventures, Stewart Butterfield of Slack and John and Patrick Collison, founders of payment company Stripe.
The new jobs will be in a range of areas, including engineering, design and development.
Meanwhile, staff rostering firm BizSimply has announced the creation of 15 new jobs, and CXC Corporate Services are creating 30 new positions in a new service centre in Dublin.
