Daisy Jones and the Six is being turned into a TV series, with Riley Keough leading the cast.
The actress will play Daisy Jones in the straight-to-series musical drama based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's novel, according to
The Hollywood Reporter.
The Amazon series will be produced by Reese Witherspoon, with Niki Caro set to direct a number of episodes and executive produce the series.
The 12-episode series will take place in the 1970s, focusing on the rise and fall of a fictional rock band.
Daisy Jones is described as being a spirited and enigmatic singer-songwriter who comes of age and rises to rock superstardom in against the backdrop of the L.A. music scene.

Keough made her big-screen debut in 2010's
The Runaways, where she played Marie Currie. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning also starred in the series.
She also starred in
Earthquake Bird, American Honey, Mad Max: Fury Road The Lodge, and
Under the Silver Lake.
The actress, who guest starred in
Riverdale season three, also got a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Steven Soderberg's Starz anthology
The Girlfriend Experience.
