If you're on the hunt for something new to read, then I've found the perfect book if you're a fan of Normal People.
No book captured us quite as much as Normal People, and trying to find one that lives up to the hype has been pretty tricky.
A lot of Sally Rooney's other books just don't have that same spark, but a 2023 contemporary fiction novel has the potential to win fans over.
Talking at Night by Claire Daverley is trending on BookTo,k and I'm not one bit surprised to see people raving about it.
The synopsis reads:
'Will and Rosie meet as teenagers.
'They’re opposites in every way. She overthinks everything; he is her twin brother’s wild and unpredictable friend. But over secret walks home and late-night phone calls, they become closer—destined to be one another’s great love story.
'Until, one day, tragedy strikes and their future together is shattered.
'But as the years roll on, Will and Rosie can’t help but find their way back to each other. Time and again, they come close to rekindling what might have been.
'What do you do when the one person you should forget is the one you just can’t let go?'
It's tense, and gripping and has two lead characters you won't be able to stop thinking about. What's not to love?
