Some of our favourite movies of the last few years were based on our favourite novels.

And it looks like the stellar big screen adaptations are only going to keep coming in 2019. Even though we're almost halfway through 2019, we've already cast our eye towards what's to come - and there's so much to look forward to. Here are five books to check out before they become movies in 2019.

The Good Liar by Nicholas Searle

What's it about?

Roy is a conman living in a small English town, about to pull off his final con. He is going to meet and woo a beautiful woman. He will swiftly move in with her and together they will live the seemingly calm life of a retired couple - evenings in front of the television, a little holiday in Berlin. Then he will slip away with her life savings. But who is the man behind the con and what has he had to do to survive this life of lies? And why is this beautiful woman so willing to be his next victim?

The Rhythm Section by Mark Burnell

What's it about?

What's it about?

But suddenly six feet doesn’t feel like safety. It feels like punishment.

The Visible Filth by Nathan Ballingrud

What's it about?

When Will discovers a cell phone after a violent brawl his life descends into a nightmare. Affable, charismatic and a little shallow, he's been skating across the surface of life in a state of carefully maintained contentment. He decides to keep the cell phone just until the owner returns and everything changes. Then the messages begin. Will's discovered something unspeakable and it's crawling slowly into the light.

When's it out?

According to Deadline, Netflix is going to be releasing the film internationally. No release date has been set.
