For week one, we are focusing on mascara and how to achieve big beautiful peepers. Whether it’s length, volume, flutter, definition, thickness, colour, shape or curl you’re after, we’ve got it covered. Michelle  Benefit claim that They're Real is the world's number one best-selling mascara. I used to have a soft spot for BADgal lash, but They're Real is another animal entirely. This beauty buy (€26.50) gives excellent lift, length and curl and it lasts for hours. I've tried a million mascaras in my quest to find one that give you the 'falsie' effect. Of course none of them do the same job as false lashes, but They're Real is pretty much as close as it gets. One coat for day wear, then one, two or three more for night time drama. This is one of my all-time beauty bag heroes. Grace  Mascara is something I don't change very often. Once I’ve found a brush head that I like, I’m inclined to stick with it for a very long time. Rimmel mascaras have always been a favourite for a number of reasons. They're consistent, affordable, and in recent years have expanded their range immensely. I opt for the ‘Rockin Curves' (€8.65) which is Rimmel’s first broken heart-shaped mascara brush, it has the ability to curve and fit all of the lash line. For maximum volume this is the key product.   Marie L'Oreal Lash Architect in Midnight Black (€15.43) is my favourite mascara for daytime as it provides good definition and length without looking too heavy. It's also pretty much impossible to take off without make-up remover, which is handy when you get caught in a shower of rain on the way to work!   Sue My favourite mascara is Rimmel Day 2 Night mascara (€10.19). It's cheap and cheerful but it also has two brushes, one for day and one for night. Just means you can have a more dramatic look in the evening. Úna I'm not a big mascara wearer, more prefer a good wallop of eyeliner, but when I've got a lot of time to spare before a night out I like to use MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara (€16.50). When it comes to lapping on the eye candy I prefer to go as dark as I can and that's exactly what this little tube does! The mascara covers my lashes with a deep, rich shade of black and doesn't feel heavy at all. Definitely recommended. Rebecca I use Bobbi Brown's Everything Mascara (€19.50) because it's great for everyday use and it gives my lashes (which are practically non-existent) volume without smudging under my eyes.​ Cathy Multiple mascara usage means I have more than a few favourites. At the moment I'm using Catrice All Round Black Mascara (€3.49) for day which is brilliant for adding colour and definition. As the world's worst magpie, I have a grá  for YSL Baby Doll mascara (€32.50) mostly due to the gorgeous gold packaging but it also gives great curl while multiplying lashes for a big-lash effect. Alanna  I really like Maybelline's Great Lash mascara (€7.49). It's great because it doesn't clump, which is important because I wear contact lenses. It also looks more natural than anything else I've tried.
