Of all the cremesheens, lip oils and tinted balms I’ve tried, none have kept my chapped winter lips feeling nourished like the Laneige Tinted Lip Serum.
The viral product has been around for a while, but having used it all through the harsh winter, I can confidently say it’s in a league of its own. It gives a gorgeous tint without sacrificing a fraction of the moisturising power provided by my favourite balms.
You can buy it here.
It is formulated in Korea with 95% skincare, and the glazed texture smooths over fine lines to create the appearance of plumper lips. It’s packed full of polypeptides, which are key to firmness. The colour is also layerable, so you can use a light wash on no makeup days, or full throttle for heavier makeup days. It claims to provide hydration for 12 hours, but my fellow chapped queens will know we’re never getting that far.

I wear a full face of makeup to the office, so I pair the glaze with a liner, but a single layer looks great as a light wash of colour on no makeup days. My regular winter routine was to line my lips, blend across the centre and slap my favourite lip balm on top, but that leaves the colour looking less than desirable after a few hours. With this new combo, I don’t even bring a liner with me, and the colour payoff from the glaze will last a full day at the office.
You can purchase the Laneige Tinted Lip Serum at Space NK for €22. Shop here.
