We all need a bit of escapism right now, and some bright and beautiful clothes are the perfect distraction.

A few weeks back, before the current social distancing guidelines were in place, I was lucky enough to sit frow at Arnotts' Spring Summer 2020 showcase. While check out the latest styles they have for the latest episode of Curated With Cassie, I caught up with TV presenters Kathryn Thomas and Lorraine Keane on the fashion-filled morning to get some style tips. The best thing about going to these types of events is that you can borrow (steal) ideas and recreate some of the looks using your own wardrobe. I'm planning on doing this with all the florals I bought a few years back, which are a spring staple but were styled with added edge in the Arnotts' show. Aisling Farinella was the show's Creative Director, and was in charge of the styling. The looks she put together ranged from new Irish designs to a Scandi takeover influenced by catwalks across the globe. My favourite section of the show was the summer prints – also called the sweetheart trend – which took it the ditsy florals and feminine pastels that will be everywhere this summer. Pair this pretty look with some more masculine style shoes, like biker boots, and you have en edgy take that works across the generations.   Another style I absolutely love is the minimalistic Scandi look, which all of us are trying to pul off these days. Irish influencer Niamh Cullen I think always gets it right with her take on the trends. Of course, you can't have a fashion show without including some of our well known Irish designers and we saw some lovely occasionwear from Aideen Bodkin, Fee G, Caroline Kilkenny and Roisin Linnane throughout the show.
