Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain is hoping to fly out to Singapore shortly for his daughter's leukemia treatment. Seven month-old Azaylia Diamond Cain is currently battling leukemia. Her parents set up a GoFundMe in order for them to travel to Singapore for CAR-T therapy. Ashley said that this type of gene therapy is "the only option to save Azaylia's life". The treatment is expected to take at least a year. "On diagnosis Azaylia had a frighteningly high leukemia count plus tumours in her spleen, stomach, lungs and kidneys which put her in critical condition and resulted in her being put into intensive care. "The doctors warned us that there was a high probability that she wouldn’t survive past the first round of chemotherapy due to the aggressiveness and rareness of her disease combined with her age." After two rounds of chemotherapy, Azaylia appeared to pull through, but the family were told she would need a bone marrow transplant. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLzrk7in42v/ However, after a successful procedure, traces of the leukemia remained and the baby went into full relapse. The family may have to fly out to Singapore in a few weeks to get started on the CAR-T therapy. "We are on our knees asking for help to get us to Singapore," Safiyya said. "Please help us to save our beautiful daughter." The family were dealt another devastating blow this morning, when they were told that a drug needed for Azaylia's treatment is not being released. Ashley told his Instagram followers that he had "pain" in his eyes after receiving the news. The fundraiser hit its £1 million target within a few hours, and continues to grow.
