Paul Smith
Paul Smith is one of Britain's most influential menswear designers. As a teenager, Paul had ambitions to become a professional racing cyclist but suffered an accident when he was 16. While in hospital, he met new friends and when he met up with them after, it was in a local pub popular with students from the local art college. He opened a tiny shop in Paris in 1970, started to take evening classes for tailoring and by 1976 he launched his first menswear collection under the Paul Smith label and from there things went from strength to strength.
Prada
Miuccia Prada is impressing us hugely this season, we loved Keira Knightley's baby blue ensemble while on a promotional tour for Begin Again not to mention Emily Blunt's divine red column gown at a New York premiere for The Edge of Tomorrow. The fashion house was established in 1913 by Miuccia's grandfather Mario and his brother Fratelli. Miuccia took over the business in 1977 from her mother Lucia and in 1992, a secondary line Miu Miu was introduced. Miu Miu is Miuccia's nickname just in case you didn't know!
Pucci
Fearne Cotton got married in a Pucci gown last weekend reminding us just how much we love the Italian designer. We've already explained that in our E segment but seeing as it's now P we thought we'd give the fabulous Mr Pucci another mention.
