Harrods
London department store Harrods is the type of place fashion lovers dream about as the iconic building is filled to the rafters with designer goods. This week, Harrods launched a month-long exhibition and pop-up shop celebrating designer Miuccia Prada. 25 years of womenswear has been divided into twelve themes of "Pradasphere" on the top floor of Harrods. The Knightsbridge store also houses designer labels such as Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balmain, and Valentino. Need we say anymore?!
Hint Magazine
Hint is an online fashion magazine founded by Lee Carter in 1988 and it quickly became a reference point for those who wanted to be kept informed about upcoming designers and new trends. Hint features elaborate designs, in-depth editorials and interviews with leading figures in the fashion world. If you're style obsessed, this is one publication you need to know about. Although be warned, it's pretty much guaranteed to open your eyes to a wealth of new fashion talent which may in turn put a dent in your bank balance.
Hugo Boss
Hugo Boss is a fashion house based in Metzingen, Germany. It was founded in 1924 by Hugo Boss and that same year Boss became a member of the Nazi party. Four years later he designed their uniforms and was an avid supporter of the Adolf Hitler led regime. In a 1946 judgement due to his involvement with the Nazi party, Hugo Boss was stripped of his voting rights, his capacity to run a business, and was fined "a very heavy penalty" of 100,000 Deutschmarks. He died in 1974, but his business survived and is now a world recognised fashion house with Claus-Dietrich Lahrs at the helm.
