Elie Saab
Saab is a self-taught Lebanese fashion designer who began interested in fashion at the age of nine. He launched his label when he was just 18, initially specialising in bridal couture. However, his intricate embroidery and stunning embellishment soon became noticed. He dressed Halle Berry for the 2002 Oscars and had his first haute couture show the following year. He now counts Emma Watson, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie among his many fans and his designs are in a word... DREAMY.
Emilio Pucci
Emilio Pucci is both an esteemed fashion designer and politician. He has ran for the Italian Liberal party while also maintaining a successful career as a fashion designer. His thorough knowledge of stretch fabric helped him to produce a line of swimwear before expanding to include printed scarves, brightly coloured blouses and silk blouses. During the 1960s, Pucci was thrust into the spotlight when Marilyn Monroe wore his clothes. Other fans included Sophia Loren, Jackie Kennedy and in later years, Madonna.
Escada
Established in 1978 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in Munich, Germany, Escada quickly found its niche in the competitive fashion industry. Distinctive colour combinations and intricate knitted patterns meant that this label stood out and became noticed. Actress Viola Davis wore Escada to this year's Academy Awards showing how popular this brand is in the world of celebrity. Today, it includes an Escada Sport label, eyewear, children's fashion, bags, shoes and fragrances.
