Forget about Christmas because award season is the most wonderful time of the year. Last night's Emmys proved that the Hollywood elite are not playing it safe this award season with Suki Waterhouse, Donald Glover, and Issa Rae rocking some of the most memorable looks of the night.
Do I dedicate way too much time to drooling over custom designer gowns and perfectly tailored suits, all while sitting on my sofa in Penneys tracksuit bottoms and a €15 Dunnes Stores fleece? Of course, I do, but award season is so glamorous. It's impossible not to get caught up in how the other half lives, especially the half that has access to the best stylists in Hollywood.
The Her team has gathered up our favourite looks from the night and will now be entering the Lotto every day so we can get our hands on a custom Valentino gown. Perfectly acceptable to wear that to the office, right?
She’s effortlessly cool, even in a Valentino ballgown. The undone hair lets the drama of the dress do all the work. It felt current in the shade of red and bow detailing we’re seeing everywhere, and yet totally unique and timeless. 10/10, no notes.
Jennifer Coolidge gets more iconic with every passing year. Her look is just gorgeous - complete with her signature pout. She won Outstanding Supporting Actress for The White Lotus too! She's a goddess
Ireland's honourary queen has been knocking it out of the park this award season. Her style is chic but never fails to catch your attention. The custom Louis Vuitton dress Ayo Edebiri wore to last night's awards makes her best-dressed for me. Only Ayo is cool enough to wear a leather-look midi dress.
If pop artist Roy Lichtenstein had been a sculptor, I'd like to think that this is what he'd have produced. Many of this year's red carpet looks have reclaimed ultra-feminine details and Emma's look does just that with a twist, nodding to Grecian goddesses and cartoon-like beauty. The low-waisted detail gives an edge to the classic silhouette that I could only dream of pulling off.
