Killer heels? Check. Stunning dress? Check. Good times with your gal pals? On the way.
A new study has proved what we always knew to be true… women dress to impress other women, not men.
The findings emerged in a study of 2,000 women, which shows they spend just 40 minutes getting ready to go out with their man, but this time increases to one hour and 3 minutes when they’re getting dolled up for their mates.
Researchers found nearly two thirds of females set out to wow their friends with their look, while those surveyed were much more likely to opt for a casual look when on a date with their fella.

The poll found that in the run up to a girls night out, the average female will spend an astonishing 8 hours and 19 mins shopping online, emailing pals, researching venues and planning what to wear.
The study also found that 44% of girls prefer the process of getting ready for a girly night out – as it usually includes congregating at someone’s house first, sharing make-up and having a few cocktails before heading out.
A spokeswoman for Malibu Rum, who carried out the survey, said:
“There is something really fun about getting ready for a girls night out – the preparation almost becomes part of the night itself, and creates that bonding moment for the rest of the evening.
”This research shows how girls love getting ready together. The ritual of getting dressed up for a night out adds to the experience.
