Debenhams has today announced that London Fashion Week designer Todd Lynn is set to join the ranks of its Designers at Debenhams.

Todd Lynn/Edition will be a 12 piece collection comprising outerwear, knitwear and leather and denim separates, keeping true to Todd’s formidable style of über-cool, tailored pieces.

Launching in stores and online on 21 October 2013, starting at €77, the collection strikes a balance between luxury fabric and cut and beautiful investment pieces, yet priced for the high street.

Says Debenhams Group Trading Director, Suzanne Harlow; “We are delighted that Todd has come on board as a designer at Debenhams. He is the perfect candidate to join our Edition concept, evolving and complimenting the existing collections with his sharp tailoring and exquisite leather pieces to inject excitement for the autumn winter season.

Says Todd Lynn; “The woman who wears my clothes is fearless, and wants to put a piece of clothing on and feel amazing. I feel like we have made a collection true to my identity.

“Working with the team at Debenhams I feel we have been able to convey my identity in a way that the customer will understand. We’ve put together the perfect capsule range, encompassing cool, luxurious winter essentials – the leather skirt, the beautiful wool winter coat, the soft leather jacket, the jeans, the dress.”

Todd will join the retailer’s Edition platform; a more fluid designer concept where emerging fashion week talent is signed for a minimum of four seasons, with the aim being to identify the next generation of designers at Debenhams.

The move to bring Todd on board follows hot on the heels of Debenhams’ recent new designer signings, milliner Stephen Jones and menswear talent Patrick Grant of Saville Row tailor E.Tautz.

Born in Canada, Todd graduated from Central St. Martins with an MA, and spent much of his early career working with Roland Mouret. Since starting his own label in 2006, he has dressed music legends including Bono, Mick Jagger, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson and The Klaxons in his signature androgynous tailoring style.
