As can be seen on the graph below, there are fluctuations over time, but each major peak comes at the very beginning of a month — with the three of the five best times for discounts coming in early January 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Discounts in January 2017 shot up as high as 52 percent.
However, August is also a good time to be down in TK Maxx, with the rest of the top five peaks coming at the tail-end of July and the very beginning of August in 2016 and 2017.
The graph also shows a clear trend of discounts trailing off before shooting up dramatically, and as we can see, discounts are very low at the end of July this year... Which certainly would make you feel optimistic about the start of August.
