Poor Mr Kanye West has long been mocked for his forays into the dizzy world of high fashion. So while his incredibly expensive Yeezy runners may be a total sell-out every time they're released, his catwalk-unveiled collections have proved rather less popular.

  Until now, that is: the 39-year-old rapper has just revealed his fifth women's wear range - and critics and fans are going uncharacteristically mad for it. Debuted at the chic Pier 59 in Manhattan's oh-so cool Chelsea area (you'll know it from The Devil Wears Prada) and with Her Royal Highness Anna Wintour in attendance (natch), proceedings kicked off practically on time (23 minutes late to be exact - but that's a fashion week norm). Indeed, such was the punctuality of the show that Kylie Jenner and her boyf Tyga missed the opening looks and had to quietly take their seat while the action was already underway (morto). In the centre of the room were floor-to-ceiling screens projecting images of the designs while The-Dream sang J. Holiday’s Bed on repeat. As you do. The clothes and accessories themselves included fur coats, thigh-high boots, oversized shirts, pack-packs, baggy sweaters emblazoned with 'Calabasas,' (a reference to Mr West’s Californian home), baseball caps and trackpants. The very embodiment of athleisure chic, we say! And Vogue Editor-In-Chief Ms Wintour afterwards was fairly gushing (well, for Anna) about her experience. “I liked it a lot,” she told The New York Post.

  “I thought his use of the screens was fascinating — and it started on time. A little bit more focus than sometimes we’ve seen from him,” she added, referring to the clothes themselves. “I enjoyed it.” Last year, Mr West held a largely disastrous show, also in New York. Running obscenely late, the show - and the clothes - was routinely mocked on social media and by the fashion world.
