Anthropologie has announced that they will be opening their first store in Ireland later this summer. The American fashion and lifestyle retailer will open in Belfast in late August 2019 - and we couldn't be more excited. The store, comprising of almost 5000 sq. ft. will be located in the iconic Erskine House development on Arthur Street, which has established itself as Belfast’s niche retailing pitch. A spokesperson for Orby Investment, developer of Erskine House, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Anthropologie to Belfast. "Their distinctive collection of clothing, accessories and homeware will be an exciting addition to the city and region, and their unique style of shopping experience fits well with the world class development that is Erskine House.”

Darren Best, Associate Director at Savills who negotiated the deal on behalf of Orby, said:

“We are very pleased to have secured this deal with Anthropologie, who will offer a unique experience for anyone who comes to Belfast to shop. Judging by the quality of their existing stores it will not disappoint! Anthropologie’s decision to open their first Irish store here is very positive for Belfast and will also attract new brands to the City Centre. We are already seeing a strong level of interest in the last remaining unit at Erskine House."

Anthropologie was first founded in 1992, and now operators more than 200 stores worldwide. It, has evolved into a leading one-of-a-kind destination for those seeking a curated mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor to reflect their personal style. The brand launched its mail-order catalogue and website in 1998; eleven years later, its first international stores opened in Canada and UK.
