A new decade is here.
When we look back on the decade past, we will remember the switch from low-cut to mom jeans, Ugg boots, Juicy tracksuits, meat dresses and the rise of athleisure.
Some trends and styles were cringe-worthy, while some lasted from 2000 to 2019.
However, now that we're in 2020, I want to gauge what and
who we will be wearing. I'm also casting an eye out for the women that will step forward next year and shine as bright as Rihanna's diamonds.

Rotate Birger Christensen
Rotate Birger Christensen was created by two Danish stylists and influencers, Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars. When
I spoke to them earlier this year, after their label launched in Brown Thomas, they told me they wanted to bring back sexy night-time looks without the massive price tag.
While the brand grew in popularity last year, I think it's going to be even bigger in 2020. The ladies have their label perfected to a T and I can't wait to see what they have in store.
Kith
Having only been established in 2011, Kith is still relatively new on the fashion scene. The latter half of the last decade saw a rise in street wear and I can only see Kith getting bigger as it now retails in the likes of Bergdorf Goodman and Selfridges.
It accommodates women, men and children and will definitely be at the forefront of the leisure wear rankings.
GCDS
I'm looking at this label as the new Moschino. With out-there designs and slogan
everything, I'm predicting GCDS will make a major name for itself next year. Cardi B, Billie Eilish and North West (yes, she's already becoming a style star) are already fans, with Dua Lipa constantly been snapped in its apparel.
Designers
Sophie Murphy
Not going to lie, I fell in love with designer Sophie Murphy this year. Having first seen her creations at the Council of Irish Fashion Designers showcase during the summer, I instantly knew she would become major player in the homegrown talent field.
Her designs are all street wear based, and she also creates class accessories, too.
Tomo Koizumi
You are going to see Tomo's name everywhere in 2020. He was first noticed by a British stylish on Instagram when designer Giles Deacon re-grammed a few of his creations - which made him stand out so much, one of his designs made it to the Met's "Camp: Notes on Fashion" exhibit.
Aoife McNamara
Aoife McNarama gained high recognition last year for her label, Aoife Ireland. She made her mark by creating glam pieces for young Irish women and I have to say, I've been lusting after them. Aoife recently created her website (which you can
check out here), so we can only see her becoming even bigger in 2020.
Women
Maya Hawke
Maya rose to fame last year after she scored a role alongside the main cast of
Stranger Things. She was excellent in the series, and even more so on red carpets. Her talent and style combined has made me want to keep an eye on her.
You might not know that Maya's mum is actress Uma Thurman so it's easy to see where she gets her elegance from. Having made her debut on BBC's
Little Women in 2017, and making a major name for herself in 2019, we can only see her going further in 2020.
Jessica Barden
You might not know it, but Jessica Barden has been around for a while. She appeared in an episode of
My Parents Are Aliens (remember that?!) and also starred in
Eastenders from 2007 to 2008. However, she really blasted into the limelight after she scored the main lead in the dark comedy,
The End of The F**king World.
Jessica attended more and more red carpets and events in 2019, where she has exhibited her love for vintage dresses. Whether it's at an awards show or on TV, I want to see more of her.
Joey King
Joey King has been on both the big and small screens for a while now. Having played parts in the likes of
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,
Malcolm In The Middle,
The Dark Knight Rises,
The Kissing Booth and
The Act, she has a hefty CV.
Joey made an impact on red carpets last year and basically wore everything I could only dream of. She won an award for Favourite Movie Actress at the Kids' Choice Awards, and is already nominated for a few this year so I can only see her making more of an impact.
