However, the forecaster highlights that heavy "scattered showers," as well as "a risk of hail and thunder," will then impact on Atlantic coastal counties. Met Éireann adds that the day overall will be "chilly, with afternoon highs of just 7C to 9C."
On Tuesday evening there will be a risk of ground-frost in some areas.

Meanwhile, across the pond North Pole winds have given already Scotland its first snowfall of the winter season. In London, there has been heavy morning frost too.
