This is horrendous.
Wild fires are currently ripping through the Hundred Acre Wood, the famous setting of
Winnie the Pooh.
Two separate fires started in Ashdown Forest in east Sussex yesterday, on the hottest February day on record.
Firefighters say that more than 35 hectares of woodland has been affected so far.
However this figure is expected to rise, as firefighters carry out a proper assessment of all the damage.
How devastating?
The local Fire and Rescue Service have blamed the "unusual warm weather this week" for the fires.
The ground is unseasonably dry, which usually results in wild fires.
The first fire began at 12.31 on yesterday and the end of the firefighting operation was yesterday evening, with crews leaving the area shortly afterwards. The fire has been deemed accidental.

Members of the public have been asked to be extra careful while enjoying the outdoors.
The fire service also tweeted an update about the situation, confirming that nobody had been injured in the blazes.
"Wildfires in Ashford forest are now under control. Crews damping down for hot spots. Both incidents due to be scaled back at dusk."
"Farm machinery used to create fire break and prevent spread. Advice given to those temporarily unable to gain access to property, no injuries."
That's a relief anyway.
