The father of U2 star Larry Mullen has died aged 92.
Larry Mullen Snr, who lived in Artane in Dublin is believed to have passed away at the Bons Secours Hospital on Sunday.
The sad news was confirmed in a post to death notice website RIP.ie and the family have asked that the funeral remain private.
He is survived by wife Alice, children Cecilia and Larry Jnr, grandchildren Becky, Sam, Elvis, Ava and Ezra and sisters Breda, Joan, Kit and Nora.
U2 are due to open their Innocence + Experience tour in Vancouver on Thursday.
