The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has alerted consumers to a warning that 'turkey dinosaurs' purchased form supermarket Iceland might contain pieces of metal.
Iceland is recalling batches of Bernard Matthews 9 Turkey Dinosaurs (pack size: 450g) because they may contain small pieces of metal. The presence of metal pieces may make this product unsafe to eat, according to the FSAI
.
Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in store. It is not believed that any other Bernard Matthews products or date codes are affected.
The "batch codes" for the affected batch are LI9QGG3 or 4 and LI9QHG3 or 4, but customers will be better able to recognise the affected batches by the best before date. In this case, all Bernard Matthews 9 Turkey Dinosaurs with a best before date of November 2020 have been recalled.
The FSAI have also provided a photo of the product to help consumers identify whether or not they've got it at home.
