Tributes have poured in for a young Limerick man after he was tragically killed in a road collision over the weekend. Named locally as Adam Galvin, the 21-year-old was killed in an early morning single-vehicle collision on Sunday. He was the only one in the car when it crashed at around 2.30 am on the N59 in the townland of Corcullen in Galway and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Tributes are now being paid to the popular student who was studying Pharmaceutical and Forensic Science at Limerick Institute of Technology. According to the Limerick Leader, he was from Kildimo in Limerick and a former student of Salesian College in Pallaskenry. Completing an internship at the pharmaceutical company Regeneron, a former colleague said: "Lovely, lovely chap made great impression working with us in Regeneron, deepest condolences to his family and friends." Friends and neighbours have also reached out and sent their condolences to the "true gent". One person said: "You were a gentleman, I'm shocked...a cruel world we live.. rest easy Adam." A second wrote: "Rest in Peace Adam a true gent." A third commented: "RIP, always a gent to chat to! Sincere condolences to the family." While another added: "Sincere condolences to Adams family and friends devastated at this tragic news Adam was a beautiful young man always had a smile on his face and was such a pleasant guy may he rest in peace." And a neighbour added: "God love him. It's heartbreaking to lose another young member of the community. Our Deepest condolences to his lovely mother Mary, Step dad Kieran, Jack, Ciarán, Adams Dad Conor and all Adams extended family and friends. May he rest in peace." A notice on RIP.ie reads: "Adam died suddenly, following a tragic accident. Very deeply regretted by his loving parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, colleagues and many, many friends. "May he rest in peace "Reposing at St. Joseph's Church, Kildimo on Tuesday, (November 2nd) from 6.30pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday (November 3rd) with Funeral afterwards to Kilmurry Cemetery, Co. Clare."
