Comedian Howie Mandel said Jane was "such a bright inspirational light in all our lives".

"We must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics," he added. "As much as I feel horribly about her passing I feel lucky to to have met, heard and known her."
Jane was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and the disease later spread to her lungs, spine and liver.
In 2019, she was told that she had just a few months to live but went on to live another three years.
Jane was extremely open about her struggle with cancer online and maintained a positive outlook on life despite her health struggles. The singer was admired for her resilience throughout her time on America's Got Talent.
During her audition she informed the judges that she only had a two per cent chance of survival, before adding that “two per cent is not zero per cent”.Explore more on these topics:
