A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 28-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Co. Down on Monday has been named locally as Aidan Mann. He was killed in a knife attack around 11am on Church street in Downpatrick and pronounced dead at the scene. A man in his 30s has now been arrested on suspicion of murder, Belfast Live reports. Aidan was a talented tattoo artist who worked under the name Zen Black Tattoo. He was well-known for specialising in Irezumi, a Japanese style of tattooing. Sailors and Scoundrels Tattoo, a studio in Newtownards, paid tribute to Aidan in a Facebook post. "There’s no easy way to write this status and I really wish I didn’t have to. But sadly today the world lost one of the best artists and human beings I know. "I’ve worked with Aidan/Zen in 3 different studios and I’ve seen him grow so much through the years I’ve looked up to him and he’s mentored me and everyone else in the studio. "I’ll never forgot all he’s taught me. He wasn’t just an artist at the studio he was my best friend and a member of our family." Another post from a car enthusiast fan page read: "Folks it's with an extremely heavy heart I have to write this about our dear friend. Aidan, also known as Zen Black Tattoo, sadly lost his life this morning [Monday], as I'm sure you have all seen on the news today. "Aidan loved coming up and joining in with the fun at Seacat and we would love to dedicate Tuesday night to him. "We are hoping to have some vinyl ribbons made up and hand them out at the entrance into the car park tomorrow so we can all show our respect... "May you rest in peace Aidan, until we meet again bro, you were so loved by us and many others, may your talents rest in the hands of all the people who looked up to you." Downpatrick Councillor Oonagh Hanlon said:"It is truly shocking that this could happen in broad daylight as locals are going about their daily business. The local community will understandably be shocked and worried at such a horrific incident."
