The weather may be pretty to look at in many parts of the country - but it's also wreaked havoc on Ireland's transport.

As commuters get ready to take on the Monday rush-hour commute, trains, trams, buses, and planes have all been impacted - with some being cancelled altogether. https://twitter.com/IrishRail/status/939923021590155264 Irish Rail said that Dublin to Sligo and Sligo to Dublin trains were being delayed by up to an hour. Earlier on Sunday, it had said that delays of up to 25 minutes were being experienced between Dublin and Waterford due to snow in Carlow, as well as between Dublin and Galway because of snow at Woodlawn and Ballinasloe. https://twitter.com/Buseireann/status/939937976330616832 Bus Eireann is also experiencing delays and disruption to services, as well as a handful of cancellations. On Sunday evening, it highlighted the following:

• Route 12, 2000 departure Limerick/Dublin from Dublin Airport will not operate via Roscrea
• Route 20 and X20 Galway to Dublin operating on M6 stopping only in Athlone
• Route 64 Galway/ Derry is diverted via Milltown Ballindine & Claremorris.
• Galway City services operating with delays.
• Route 65, 1915 Cavan/Galway will not operate
• Route 70, 1800 Galway/Dundalk (1940 Athlone/Dundalk) services have been cancelled.
• Route 72, 1725, Limerick/Athlone & 1715 Athlone/Limerick have been cancelled
• Route 73 to Athlone will operate via Kilkenny and Carlow with some delays. However, 2200 service Carlow/Athlone service has been cancelled.
• Route 440, 1900 Westport/Athlone has been cancelled

And planes to and from the UK have been impacted, with the the likes of Ryanair and Aer Lingus warning that a backlog and some delays might creep into Monday. https://twitter.com/Ryanair/status/939863916338966528 Met Eireann forecaster Evelyn Cusack told RTE's Morning Ireland that Sunday night will be "bitterly cold as temperatures drop sharply everywhere this evening and tonight ranging from minus 2C to minus 8C.
