You can expect more of the same on Wednesday with showers in many areas although if you're in the east, that's where things will be the worst.
Although the rain should clear as we head into Thursday, it's going to remain very cold so now is the time to dig out the scarves, gloves and hats.
It's been a noticeably mild couple of months especially for the time of year but that all looks set to change, according to Met Éireann.
"Temperatures staying below normal, ranging from 6 to 9 degrees on Thursday and from 7 to 10 degrees on Friday. The nights will be cold, with some frost in places under clear spells".Keep an eye on the official Met Éireann website because as always, these conditions are subject to change.
