"Snow accumulations continuing to increase significantly due to further heavy falls of snow".So if you had plans to leave home this evening, you might want to rethink them on account of the latest information from Met Éireann. There's also an orange warning in place for Munster, Laois, Longford, Louth, Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow, Galway, Cavan, Monaghan and Kilkenny. Eastern and southern areas are likely to feel the brunt of the snow and flooding could occur in eastern parts over the coming days.
It's been said a lot over the past few days but still applies, stay safe out there and don't make any unnecessary journeys. Earlier today, Met Éireann shared some predictions for the next seven days and you can check that out here.Continuing very cold & windy with further falls of snow, leading to further accumulations & icy conditions. The snow will be heaviest in eastern and southern areas. Some flooding in eastern & locally in some southern coastal areas in strong and gusty east to northeasterly winds. pic.twitter.com/vSGB8qAczV
