'The Voice' singer Dylan Carter has died aged 24 as per reports from TMZ.
The news of the death of singer, who competed on the American version of the show, was shared by local reports.
This comes after authorities told TMZ that a person had been killed on Saturday night in a single-car accident at around 23:42 in Colleton County, South Carolina.
Charity The Local Voice, with whom Carter was closely involved, shared a statement confirming the sad news.
“With heavy hearts we share the passing of Dylan Carter, co-founder of The Local Voice, talented musician, and someone who meant so much to our community," they wrote.
“Dylan was the heart of what we do. He believed every voice matters and lived that every day. Through his music, his kindness, and his smile, he brought people together and made everyone feel seen."
The singer, who is from South Carolina, was due to perform in Moncks Corner in his home state on Monday.
That show has since been cancelled.
Carter appeared on 'The Voice' in 2023 and made it through the first few weeks after turning all four judges in his blind audition after a performance of Whitney Houston's 'I Look to You'.
He told the judges he'd loved music since a child and his audition was tributed to his mother he had only died a year before.
He went on to pick Reba McEntire as his coach.
