Mr Flanagan also provided reassurances that Gardaí are vigilant to any threat. He said he was “absolutely confident that the Garda Síochána, at every level, are fully in control of the situation here, the sharing of the intelligence internationally and obviously securing the State here from a national perspective”. The remarks followed a tweet by outgoing Taoiseach Enda Kenny that read: "Terrible news coming from London - we stand with our close neighbours again tonight." Kenny said that the Irish embassy in the UK was monitoring the situation, but it is not believe that any Irish were injured in the attacks.Thoughts with victims survivors & all in London after horrific attack at London Bridge.
