Teresa Mannion paid a visit to Harriet, Ireland's newest singing sensation, this week - and the news report is a must-see.
Harriet, a donkey from Galway, went viral earlier this week after she startled one of her neighbours by "singing opera".
Her distinctive call captured the attention of people across the globe after Martin Stanton shared a video of her on
Facebook.
He captioned the clip:
"I visited the beautiful Harriet today [Sunday, October 21]. She could never hee haw like other donkeys but apparently she's now an opera singer!"
Stanton later told
ABC News - one of the many international news outlets that reported on Harriet and her bray - that he never expected the clip to go viral.
He explained:
“She lives about 20 minutes away from me in Toureen, Connemara.
“I know the family who own her and I bring carrots, bread and ginger nut biscuits. She never hew-haws like other donkeys.
“I try to visit whenever I can because she is adorable, so friendly and gentle.
“I found the video funny so I just posted it. I didn't think it would go viral.”
CBC, The Western Australia and Fox News also reported on the story.
RTÉ soon followed suit, with Teresa Mannion being treated to a special performance from Harriet in a news report on Friday night.
