A status red storm warning has been issued by Met Eireann for Cork and Kerry as Storm Eunice is set to bring strong winds across the country. With heavy rain, strong winds and sleet and snow on the way for Connacht and Ulster, in particular, there has been a new warning issued for these two coastal counties. There is a risk of coastal flooding from early tomorrow morning, with the warning in place from 3am on Friday to 8am the same day. Met Eireann said: "Storm Eunice will track quickly over Ireland tonight and Friday morning bringing severe and damaging winds. Southwest winds veering northwest will reach mean speeds in excess of 80 km/h with gusts in excess of 130 km/h. Some coastal flooding, especially at high tide." A status orange wind warning is in place for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Wexford and is set to come into effect from 5am on Friday, lasting until 11am. https://twitter.com/MetEireann/status/1494252851568259072?s=20&t=Pkk2k0LLMLpxdkhNFN-6Kg A red marine warning has been also put out for the entire south coast of the country, stretching from Howth Head to Roches Pt to Erris Head. There is also a Yellow Weather Warning issued to the entire country for wind, rain and snow. This comes into effect at 1am tomorrow morning and will stay in place until 3pm tomorrow afternoon. The Yellow Weather Warning reads: "Storm Eunice will track over Ireland on Thursday night and on Friday bringing very strong winds and falls of heavy rain, sleet and snow. "Some disruption is likely along with a possibility of coastal and spot flooding." Additionally, the UK Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for heavy snow and wind for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry. This warning is valid from 3am tomorrow morning until 6pm on Friday. Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Bonnie Diamond, Communications Meteorologist at Met Eireann said that Storm Dudley is "gradually clearing" as Ireland anticipates a second storm. While there are no warnings in place today for the storm, Diamond added that we will feel the effects of it by the morning.
