In Crossfit, Emma McQuaid is Ireland's fittest female. She also completed the 20.1 open (which consisted of 10 rounds of ground-to-overhead lifts and bar-facing burpees) in a time of 7.41, which just happens to be the fastest time in the world amongst men or women.
Sounds impressive right? Now factor in the fact that Emma has only been competing in Crossfit since 2014! The pace at which she's risen through the sport is phenomenal and all eyes will be on McQuaid as she represents Ireland at the 2020 Crossfit Games next year.
We caught up with her at the newly decked out Trinity Sports Centre, which is bringing Crossfit to University goers in collaboration with Chapter 2 Fitness, to find out exactly what the sport consists of, her career prior to 2014, and how proud she feels to carry the Irish flag.
Check out the video for more and you can follow Emma's Crossfit journey on her Instagram.
