Don't make unnecessary journeys.

The Department of Education has ordered all schools within the areas covered by the Status Red and Orange Weather Warnings to not open tomorrow. The arrival of Storm Barra to Ireland earlier today has seen a number of weather warnings in place. According to RTÉ, it's likely that many Status Orange Weather Warnings will be updated to Red throughout the evening and tomorrow. Met Éireann has issued a warning to those in affected areas, saying: "All schools should keep up-to-date with the current weather warnings which are carried on all national and local news bulletins and in particular, any change in the status warning for their area." Earlier today, a Status Red Wind Warning was issued to Kerry, Cork and Clare, while Orange and Yellow Weather Warnings were issued elsewhere. https://twitter.com/MetEireann/status/1467903015168483336 An Orange Weather Warning is in effect in Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo, Wexford, Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, and Meath. A number of workplaces in the affected areas, such as Aldi stores in Clare, Cork and Kerry will also close. In Limerick, the City Council has urged the public not to make unnecessary journeys. Parks and playgrounds will close and flood defences have been erected along the quays. Over the next few days, disruption to travel and power is likely and An Taoiseach Micheál Martin has urged people to stay at home if possible, especially if they live in an affected area.
