Following the news this morning that two of the Garth Brooks gigs have been cancelled at Croke Park at the end of this month, rumours have begun to circulate that all five concerts may be cancelled.
After weeks of speculation following residents' complaints about licencing agreements for the gigs, it seemed that the Friday, Saturday and Sunday (25th, 26th and 27th of July) nights of the planned run would be going ahead while the Monday and Tuesday (28th and 29th July) were cancelled.
The news spells heartbreak for 160,000 ticket-holders who planned to attend the Monday and Tuesday night events. 400,000 tickets have already been sold for the five sold-out shows.
Following the announcements this morning however, there is now speculation that all five concerts could be cancelled at Croke Park. The Garth Brooks camp has yet to comment on the news.
The GAA have not made any official statements and confirmed they will not be commenting further until Monday of next week.
The delay in time suggests they may be waiting for word from the Brooks camp but at the moment, the five gigs looks a little shaky.
