R Kelly has been charged with a number of counts of sex crimes and racketeering, according to reports.

The singer was today federally indicted in Brooklyn, New York on charges including child pornography, sex trafficking and attempting to influence a case. Court documents show that Kelly, who's real name is Robert Kelly, is accused of sexually exploiting at least five women and girls between 1999 and now in different locations in the US, reports Page Six. The documents state that his alleged victims were not allowed to leave their rooms or eat without permission and that they were forced to work for him and to call him daddy. Kelly was arrested in Chicago last night by New York police detectives and investigators with the Department of Homeland Security while he was out walking his dog. The arrest marks the second time this year that Kelly has been taken into custody in Chicago on sex charges. In February, he pleaded not guilty to ten sex-related charges in Illinois involving four women, three of whom were minors at the time of the alleged abuse. In June, he pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of sexual assault and abuse, said to have taken place against a victim between the ages of 13 and 16 from May 2009 to January 2010.
