Prince Philip has died at the age of 99, Buckingham Palace have confirmed. A statement read: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Earlier this year, he was admitted to St Bartholomew's hospital in London for a month. While he was there, he underwent surgery for a pre-existing heart condition.
