Sky News' David Blevins has reported on the incident, although details surrounding the shooting are scant. It is believed to have happened on the Crumlin Road. Other unconfirmed tweets suggest that it was a "drive-by" shooting.

The shooting follows hot on the heels of much discussion around the dissolution of the power-sharing agreement in Stormont House, as well as the implications that Brexit will have on the Good Friday Agreement.
Speaking yesterday at a united Ireland conference, Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams said that UK removal from the EU would undercut many of the human rights clauses contained within the agreement — a claim that was later repudiated by a spokesperson for the British government.
