TV presenter and comedian Paul O'Grady has died at the age of 67.
Andre Portasio released a statement this morning and said that O'Grady died "unexpectedly but peacefully" on Tuesday evening. Thousands of tributes have been made to the beloved personality including from the Royal Family. Their official Twitter account remembered O’Grady by posting an image of Camilla with the star. In a statement, Buckingham Palace said Camilla had a special bond with O’Grady and worked closely with him in their support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. She will be sharing her sympathies with O’Grady’s family privately, the palace said. Good Morning Britian presenter, Lorraine Kelly said: "Such sad news. Paul O’Grady – funny, fearless, brave, kind and wise. Will be sorely missed. A really special man." Fellow TV presenter, Lee Dennis wrote: "So sad to wake to the news that Paul O’Grady has died. He was a true comedy great and his twinkly, mischievous presence will be missed by so many. All Star Family Fortunes host Vernon Kay also paid tribute to the much-loved Paul O'Grady this morning. He wrote: "Paul O’Grady was one of the nicest and kindest people I’ve ever met. "Always a joy to be around and obviously, so much fun. He will be missed. Telly and friends have lost one of the best….RIP"Such sad news. Paul O’Grady - funny, fearless, brave, kind and wise. Amanda Holden wrote an emotional piece along with a sweet photo of her and Paul during the summer. She wrote: "Woken up to this sad, sad news. "I loved Paul. He was brilliantly opinionated ,searingly sharp and very funny.. I loved our conversations ..I can’t quite believe it. Thoughts with Andre and their family."RIP Paul O’Grady.
