Looks like we won't be able to avoid the rain at this year's Electric Picnic.

Met Éireann has predicted a wet start to the weekend, with "persistent or heavy rain" moving across Ireland on Friday. Saturday will be cool with a mix of sunshine and showers, according to the forecaster, while Sunday is set to be much the same. Temperatures are expected to peak at 18 degrees over the weekend. "On Friday, persistent or heavy rain will spread eastwards across the country," a Met Éireann update today said. "It will clear through the evening and early night. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees with fresh south to southwest winds, which will veer west to northwest as rain clears. "Saturday will be a cool, breezy day with sunshine and showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh , gusty westerly winds. "Sunday will continue cool and breezy with sunshine and showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with moderate west to northwest winds." Still, there's plenty to look forward to in Stradbally across the weekend. The stage times for all of the acts were announced this morning. Hozier, Billie Eilish and Dermot Kennedy will kick off the festival as Friday night's headliners. Fans will get to enjoy Christine and the Queens, The 1975 and The Strokes on Saturday evening while Kodaline and Florence and The Machine are top of the bill on Sunday night.
