Carter's lawyer, Michael Holtz, said:
"Nick has denied these allegations ever since he first learned of them last year, and was confident the district attorney would conclude that there was no basis to pursue charges against him. "He is happy to put this matter behind him."Schuman filed a report with US police last month. Early this year, she alleged in a blog post that she had been assault by Carter in his apartment when they were working on a movie together.
She wrote that she was a virgin at the time, but claimed that Carter "didn't care."
"He shut the door and we continued to kiss. I asked him what we were doing in (the bathroom). He didn’t respond and continued to kiss me. "He then picked me up, put me on the bathroom counter and started to unbutton my pants. I told him I didn’t want to go any further. He didn’t listen. He didn’t care."The statute of limitations for the alleged offence expired in 2013.
