“The Trade Unions have confirmed that this action will take place from midnight on Wednesday night, 7 September. This leaves us with no option but to terminate all routes at 21.00 on Wednesday night. No services will operate on Thursday, 8 September and Friday, 9 September, including Friday night Nitelink”.Tensions have been high at Dublin Bus following disagreement between staff and management over wages. It has been reported that staff are seeking a pay increase of 15% over three years, on top of a 6% payment award they are due dating back to 2008. Essentially, the drivers are looking for pay parity with Luas drivers, which would require an increase of 31% in total.
