The country is set for wind and rain this weekend as
Met Éireann has predicted thunderstorms and potential flooding.
While temperatures are set to remain warm, heavy showers are expected throughout the weekend.
A forecaster said: "More rain moving in tonight with a wet start tomorrow morning and some heavy thundershowers following along some strong gusts but clearing to sunny spells and showers dying out by evening."
Friday will see the rain clearing to make way for some sunny spells. However, heavy showers will return throughout the day.
Met Éireann has forecasted thunder in some places with possible hail and spot flooding. Temperatures will remain relatively high, ranging between 13 to 16 degrees
After a dry start to Saturday morning and early sunny spells in the southeast, clouds will continue to build from the southwest with scattered showers developing. Most frequent showers will be in the west and north with dry periods elsewhere.
Towards the evening, a few more sunny spells will develop, with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. Saturday night will be mild, humid and overcast.
Sunday will be off to a rainy start, with a cloudy morning and showers extending countrywide. It will brighten up in the afternoon with some much-needed sunshine in between showers and moderate southwest breezes.
Highest temperatures will be between 14 to 18 degrees.
