The snow is coming.

The weekend may only be in its infancy but it might be a good idea to start thinking of your next Netflix binge, stock up on tea bags, or make plans to keep yourself entertained while indoors. While conditions aren't set to be so bleak that we're all up to our knees in snow, the mercury is set to drop with snow, sleet, and hail on the horizon for parts of Ireland, as stated by Met Éireann. The snow is expected to arrive in parts of Ireland on Sunday and last until Tuesday. In terms of today's forecast, it's set to be dry and cloudy day, with isolated light rain or drizzle. Heavier rainfall is due to arrive later this evening, mainly on the west coast. Sadly, the rainfall will spread across the country tonight but it's set to clear the east coast by Sunday morning before the conditions get colder everywhere. Sunshine and scattered showers will follow from the west. Some showers may be wintry. As the temperatures drop, the snowfall is set to arrive on Sunday night with longer spells of rain, sleet or snow expected. The snow will fall mainly on higher ground though. Keep warm because temperatures are set to variate between -1 to +2 degrees. Moving into next week, Monday is set to be cold too with sunny spells and showers, some of sleet or snow. The wintry showers will be heaviest and most frequent in the west in fresh and gusty southwest winds. Wintry showers are forecast for Monday night with minimum temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees and frost in areas. As for Tuesday, showers will bring a mix of rain, hail and sleet with some snow on high ground.
