"Further showers of hail, sleet and snow today and tonight will give additional accumulations of up to 3 cm of snow, with larger amounts on higher ground, especially in Ulster and Connacht".Early predictions suggest matters will improve somewhat tomorrow with showers becoming isolated and "fair weather" developing, albeit only "for a time". However, snow showers could return on Monday night with the current forecast warning "rain, sleet and snow will continue to spread eastwards through Monday night".
