The bad weather just keeps on coming.

Fresh from a weekend of rain, wind, rain, wind, and even more rain and wind, the adverse weather conditions are showing no signs of abating. Lo and behold, Met Éireann has issued a new status yellow rainfall warning for all five counties in Connacht, as well as Longford, Donegal, Clare and Kerry. The warning is in place from 4am on Wednesday 19 February until 4am on Thursday 20 February. Met Éireann has forecast that heavy rainfall will arrive on Wednesday and it will last right up until the night, with 25 to 40mm expected in some places. There's also a risk of localised flooding, especially with the ground still saturated from Storm Dennis and the elevation of river levels following the recent heavy rainfall. Wednesday is set to be very windy, with widespread rain, with the heaviest rain expected in west Munster, Connacht and west Ulster, with a risk of flooding. Strong and gusty south to southwest winds, reaching gale force on Atlantic coasts, have also been forecast. Wednesday night will see widespread rainfall for a time, heavy in places, with fresh to strong south to southwest winds.
