Met Éireann has issued a further weather warning ahead of the arrival of Storm Eunice this week. A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway and Wexford. The warning is valid from 5am on Friday morning (18 February) until 11am on the same day. Met Éireann said Storm Eunice will bring some severe and potentially damaging winds, with gusts of up to 130km/h, although it may be even high in exposed areas. People in these counties are warned that disruption is expected along with the possibility of some coastal flooding. Earlier on Wednesday, a snow, wind and rain weather warning was issued for the entirety of Ireland for Friday. The yellow weather warning is in place from 1am on Friday morning to 3pm on Friday afternoon. Another yellow wind warning is currently in place for Ireland on Wednesday due to Storm Dudley. An amber wind warning is also in place for Antrim and Derry on Wednesday, as the Met Office said it is expecting the storm to affect areas "later on Wednesday, bringing a period of strong and potentially disruptive winds." The forecaster issued a weather advisory for all of Ireland regarding the upcoming storm stating it has the potential to be a "multi-hazard and disruptive event". "Through Thursday night and Friday, Storm Eunice will track eastwards over Ireland," it said. "It has the potential to be a multi-hazard and disruptive event with damaging winds, heavy rain and snow possible."
