Marelle Sturrock have spoken out following their daughter's harrowing death.
The pregnant teacher was found dead at a property in Glasgow on April 25th.
Ms. Sturrock was found unresponsive at 8.40 am on Jura Street.
Her parents, Colin and Lorna Sturrock, have released a statement through Police Scotland.
They thanked the public for the waves of support since their daughter's tragic murder.
"We are devastated following the deaths of our daughter, Marelle, and soon-to-be grandson, Jayden Sturrock.
"Marelle was the happiest person you could ever meet and was always looking to help others the best she could.
"Marelle and her partner doted on each other, and this incident has come as a total shock to all who knew her.
"We would like to thank family and friends, colleagues at Sandwood Primary School, and Police Scotland officers, both in the Highlands and Glasgow, for their efforts and comforting support following our tragic event.
"Our family would like everyone, including the press, to respect our privacy at this very sad and difficult time".
Marelle's fiancé
David Yates was found dead days after her murder.
His body was located following searches of the Mugdock Reservoir and was formally identified as 36-year-old Yates.
Police stated: "Yates was wanted in connection with the murder of his partner Marelle Sturrock. The 35-year-old was found dead at her home on Jura Street, Glasgow on Tuesday, 25 April 2023".
Police do not believe anyone else was involved in Marelle's death.
