Poole was fatally stabbed at her home.
Gardaí in Finglas are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal assault that occurred in Melville Drive, Finglas, Dublin 11 on Saturday 17, shortly after 2pm.
A female, aged in her 20s, received fatal injuries during the incident. The woman was later identified as 24-year-old mother of two, Jennifer Poole.
Emergency services attended the scene and Poole was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
A man in his 20s was arrested in relation to the death. He has since been charged.
He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin, this morning, Monday, at 10:30am.
Poole has two children and it is believed that her four-year-old son witnessed the attack. Her daughter was with a relative at the time.
