A man has been arrested after armed Garaí rescued a 14-year-old boy from the boot of a car in Dublin.
The man, in his 20s, was apprehended yesterday evening near Kippure Park, Finglas at 7.30pm.
He and three other men had been driving a suspicious vehicle in the area when Gardaí attempted to stop them.
The car was abandoned near the park and the occupants fled on foot. A teenage boy was discovered in the boot of the car.
One of the men was later apprehended and is currently being questioned by Gardaí on suspicion of endangerment and abduction.
He is being held in Finglas Garda station.
The investigation is ongoing.
